Lambs

The Lambs have started to be born, we have 14 so far and 11 ewes left to lamb, so hoping to double that figure. This is the first time the farm has had lambs and everyone has loved seeing new life born onto the farm. With this amazing weather the children have loved spending time in the lambing shed helping out and playing in the straw.

These two are from triplets which were born yesterday afternoon.

As a family we are used to animals giving birth, from the cows, goats and alpacas but lambs are all new to us, but with Sams lambing experience from college and a good friend on the end of the phone to answer any questions it has been a great lambing season so far.
